I have the honour to inform you that in June
last the Stewards of the Hongkong Jockey Club submitted through
Sir C.P. Chater an application for a small addition to Rural
Building Lot No. 33 for the purpose of erecting a permanent
stand at the Race Course for the accommodation of members of
the Chinese and Portuguese Communities attending the races.
After careful consideration of the proposals
Sir F. H. May agreed to recommend for your approval that the
boundary of Rural Building Lot No. 33 should be extended so 48
to include the area coloured red on the enclosed plan, under
the following conditions:-

(a). Any structure erected to be of ferro-concrete
or other incombustible materials approved by
the Director of Public Worka.
(b). No portion of any such structure may be occupier
for domestic purposes.
(c). Unless specially sanctioned by the Director of
Public Works no portion of any such structure
may exceed 30 feet in height above Wongneichong
Road.
(a). Any such structure shall be designed and con- -structed with such provisions for the safety
